BioI've opened this journal to chronicle my mother's journey down the long, dark road known as Alzheimer's Disease. As of today (12/10/07) she has not been officially diagnosed, but there is little doubt that such a diagnosis will be forthcoming.
My sister Mary and I will be her primary caregivers as she progresses through the stages of the disease.
Our grandma (and Mom's mom) died from Alzheimer's in March of 2005. Mary and I have grave concern that we will also be claimed by this thing. This space will also be used to detail my studies, the genetic testing I plan to undergo, and my attempts to prevent the occurence of Alzheimer's in my own life and in my own brain.
